Yup, Socialization. The socialization period, especially the first 16 weeks, is the most crucial time for determining your puppy’s temperament, character and behavior in the future. During this important time in his development, your puppy is pretty easily influenced to external influences. If his experiences are positive with people, animals, etc., then he is likely to be open to them during his life. On the other hand, if his experience is not enjoyable, then he may be a bit apprehensive later.
